Filing
Requirements:
1. A power of attorney signed by an authorized signatory, stamped with the company seal and legalized up to the Qatari Consulate.
2. Notarized
copy of the certificate of incorporation or extract from the
commercial register.
3. Five prints
of the trademark.
4. Certified
copy of the priority document if priority to be claimed.
5. The name, Address, Nationality of the applicant and nature of business of the applicant
6. The list of goods and classes to be covered by the application
Renewal Requirement:
1.
A power of attorney signed by an authorized signatory, stamped with the company seal and legalized up to the Qatari Consulate.
2. Number and registration date of the trademark.
3. The name, Address, Nationality of the applicant and nature of business of the applicant
Assignment
Requirement:
1. A power of attorney signed by the assignee, stamped with the company seal and legalized up to the Qatari Consulate.
2. A
legalized deed of assignment up to the Consulate of Qatar.
3. A
Notarized Copy of the certificate of incorporation or extract from
the commercial register of the assignee.
Kindly note the
following points:
1.
Time frame from filing up to registration is about 24-30 months.
2.
Trademarks are registered for 10 years and renewable for another 10
years.
3. Opposition
period is for 4 months as from publication date.

Requirements:
Patents protection in
Qatar can be obtained under the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Designs
Publication of Cautionary
Notice is Available in Qatar Under the Following Conditions:
1.
Title of the invention and particulars of the home registration or
any other registration.
2.
The name, address, nationality and nature of business of the owner
of the invention or
industrial model or design.
3. Summary
description of the invention in English if the owner desires to have
it published.
